# Welcome to Elixir.io

**Product tip:** This product neither qualifies as a SaaS application nor as a multi-user product. It is a product created in a hypothetical medical setting. To use the product, however, clone its github repo, or pull the Docker image( princeigwe/elixir.io:latest ) and run it on your remote environment.

## Overview

The purpose of this document is to provide an overview of the health tech application and its features. The application is designed to be a comprehensive and user-friendly platform for managing and tracking health and wellness. It allows medical providers to keep in touch with their patients, as well as allow patients to manage their medical records.

#### Features:

* Medical Records Management: Users can keep track of their medical records, along with medication regimen, including dosages and schedules; with the help of electronic health records.&#x20;
* Appointment: The application also allows for both patient and medical providers create appointments for regular health checkups. This appointments can either be physical or virtual.
* Automated notifications: Receive timely and relevant updates regarding appointments and healthcare updates.
* Real-time messaging: Seamlessly communicate with healthcare providers within a secure and private environment.

* Access control: Grant read access to specific healthcare providers, facilitating collaboration and comprehensive medical decision-making.
